During the implementation of the project “Renovation of school health cabinets in Kedainiai and Anyksciai district municipalities” No. LT03-2-SAM-K01-002 (hereinafter – the Project) first aid training tools (Heinlich vests – 20 pcs. and training defibrillators – 10 pcs.) and environmental assessment tools (thermometers – meteo stations 10 units and sound level meters – 10 units) were received. All tools will be distributed and transferred according to Annex 2 of the Project Contract to the health cabinets of schools and pre-school educational institutions in Kedainiai district.
These tools are very important and necessary, as public health professionals providing health care at schools will have the opportunity to train members of the school community in the basics of first aid in case of choking, as well as the opportunity to provide training for individuals in the use of training defibrillators. The total price of first aid training tools including VAT is EUR 11,132, the total price of environmental assessment tools including VAT is EUR 1,318.90.
The project “Renovation of school health cabinets in Kedainiai and Anyksciai district municipalities” is financed according to the 2014–2021 measure “Provision of Methodological Tools for Health Cabinets in Pre-school and School Education Institutions” of the program “Health” of the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area.
Funds from the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism of 2014-2021 will be used for the implementation of the project. The total budget of the project is EUR 295,258.72. The share of Kedainiai District Municipality in the project is 52 thousand euros.
While implementing the project, until August 1st, 2020, the Public Health Bureau of Kedainiai District Municipality signed and implemented 16 purchase contracts with the executors.
